This used, tested and working Siemens SIMODRIVE control module, part number 6SN1122-0BA11-0AA1, belongs to the SIMODRIVE 611U drive family. It was designed for industrial CNC machines, servo axes, feed drives, machine tools, woodworking machines and automated production lines.

Within a Siemens drive group, the 611U module handles central control, closed-loop, communication and signal processing tasks: setpoints, actual values, axis enables, feedback signals, status messages, machine commands and diagnostics. It is the link between CNC control, power module, motor feedback, servo axis and machine peripherals – essential for precise axis motion, positioning and speed-controlled drives.

The multilayer board carries processor and memory devices, communication ICs, signal conditioning, optocouplers, relay groups, slots for software/option modules and multi-pin system and backplane connectors. The system software sits on a plug-in software module labeled SYS.-SOFTWARE N-SOLL-611U, A5E00832589, V 09.02.04.

The Sub-D connectors X411 and X412 typically connect control, measuring, feedback or communication components. X421, X431, X441, X451, X452, X461 and X462 carry digital and analog signals, axis functions, enables, status lines and peripheral signals. X471 is the serial/diagnostic port; the display window with keys +, P and - supports service, parameter setting and status display directly on the module.
