Product description
A complete Schroff card rack with built-in switching power supply. Card racks like this form the backbone of older machine and CNC controls: the backplane connects all slots via the VME system bus, and the cards slide in from the front, guided securely by the rails.
The upper backplane is printed “Schroff VME J1 7 SLOT” and provides seven VME bus slots; the rack takes cards on two levels. Power comes from an EMACS SP2-4300F with 300 W continuous output and 25 A on the 5 V rail – enough for fully populated racks with older processor and I/O cards. Four voltages (+5 V, +12 V, −5 V, −12 V) also cover analog and interface cards.
The rack comes from a HOMAG machining center of the BAZ 32 / BOF 41 series. It is ideal as a replacement for a mechanically damaged rack, as a donor for backplane, guide rails or power supply, or as a bench test station to power up individual control boards outside the machine – a real asset for maintaining older HOMAG equipment, since a suspect card can be checked without stopping the machine. The voltage selector (115 / 230 V) and the second IEC socket make it usable worldwide.
Tested: we have tested this item and it is fully functional. Clean used part with at most light cosmetic traces; backplane with clean contacts. Check the voltage selector setting before connecting. Installation and commissioning by a qualified electrician only; do not open the power supply housing.
Compatibility & applications
