Product description

The memory card is the memory of a NUM 1060 control. It holds the NC programs, machine parameters, tool and zero-offset tables and the PLC application program. It has no front connections and communicates with the processor card exclusively via the 96-pin backplane bus.

The memory is an array of static RAM chips (Cypress CY62128BLL, 70 ns). Static RAM needs no refresh and keeps its content as long as voltage is applied – which is why the card carries a SAFT lithium cell that keeps the memory array and the integrated real-time clock powered when the control is switched off. An ADM691 supervisor switches automatically between operating voltage and battery.

A software daughterboard sits on the upper connector – at NUM this is the EPROM card with the CNC software level, which is machine-specific. When exchanging cards you normally transfer your own daughterboard to the replacement card, easily done without soldering thanks to the plug-in design. Removed from an IMA BIMA 610 V CNC machining center (IMA Klessmann, Lübbecke).

Condition grade 2 – Good, tested and fully functional: clean PCB, fully populated, legible markings, battery with lead and clip present and undamaged, no leakage, daughterboard firmly seated, no reworked solder joints, connector with straight pins, ejector levers smooth. Handwritten marking by the previous owner on the front strip. Please fit a fresh lithium cell before commissioning (NUM recommends yearly replacement); change it with operating voltage applied so the memory content is kept. Programs, parameters and software of the previous machine are not part of the sale and are replaced by your own machine data. Installation by qualified personnel only.
