This VME-based MULTI-I/O card was developed by HOMAG and bears the item number 4-086-05-0368. It is based on a base board with a plugged-in SERCOS Master Module ASIC from Automata (part number D-2620-001-1, version 3.1) and serves as a central interface for digital communication in SERCOS-based automation environments.

The card also bears the designation VME MULTI/EA with base board number D-2100-021-1, serial number 5724, version 2.1. The module contains numerous IC components (e.g. 74LS244, 74ALS740N), EPROMs with the imprint "MULTI-E/A–VME", as well as jumper strips, coding switches and an ASIC module with SYNC-IN/SYNC-OUT connections. The base is a green coated circuit board with a solid VME connector strip, backplane mounting and CE marking.

The card has a Homatic barcode with serial number H00147465 and a yellow warning notice regarding ESD protection measures.
