Unterlagen und Einbauhinweise

Ausführung G bedeutet glatte Oberfläche und ist für eine einzelne Schutzzone gedacht. Der Buchstabe sagt nichts über die Größe.

Die Matte nie stark durchbiegen – dabei werden die Kontakte dauerhaft beschädigt, und sie meldet anschließend ständig „belegt“. Der Druckausgleich läuft über das Anschlusskabel: nicht knicken oder klemmen, Verschraubungen nur handfest anziehen.

Application

Safeguarding hazardous areas on machines and automated systems; stopping or slowing machine movements when the mat is stepped on. On machining centres with two table fields, each mat forms its own protection zone on its own channel, so machining can continue on one side while the other is being set up.

Important

A safety system always consists of three parts: mat, safety relay and terminating resistor. The mat alone is only the signal source and has no protective function without a matching evaluation unit. A Bircher mat requires a Bircher safety relay; it will not work with a Mayser unit.

Commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel only, in compliance with applicable safety regulations. Proper testing and validation are required before integration into an existing safety system. Due to size, shipping is by freight forwarder in suitable packaging.
