Before you order: this is the line-side commutation choke – alternating current, 30 A at 50/60 Hz. It is not a smoothing choke for the DC link. The smoothing choke of the same assembly is the GLD 17, part no. 29264, which we stock separately. The fit is defined by BV no. 29443 and TN no. 246429, not by the machine brand. Send us a photo of your type label and we confirm the fit before shipping.

Product description

The commutation choke sits between the mains and the rectifier. It limits the current rate of rise during commutation, dampens line harmonics and protects the power semiconductors against voltage spikes from the grid.

As a purely passive component made of copper winding and iron core, it is very durable; it is usually removed when a plant is dismantled. This unit is tested and technically functional, the type label is fully legible, with light cosmetic signs of use (see photos).

Installation: hazardous voltage on the line side. Installation and removal by a qualified electrician only.

Compatibility & applications

Indramat drive and supply cabinets, among others in HOMAG BAZ / BOF. The choke is a purchased standard part from K. A. Gass, not a custom build – BV no. 29443 and TN no. 246429 are decisive for the match.
