Before you order: this is a smoothing choke for the DC link – recognizable by 50 A DC and 5000 Hz on the type label. It is not a line reactor and cannot replace one. The line-side commutation choke of the same assembly is the KD 23, part no. 29443, which we stock separately. The fit is defined by BV no. 29264 and TN no. 242124, not by the machine brand. Send us a photo of your type label and we confirm the fit before shipping.

Product description

The smoothing choke sits downstream of the rectifier in the DC link. It smooths the pulsating direct current and lowers the ripple, which noticeably relieves the DC link capacitors and helps them reach a long service life.

As a purely passive component made of copper winding and iron core, it is very durable; it is usually removed when a plant is dismantled. This unit is tested and technically functional, the type label is fully legible, with light cosmetic signs of use (see photos).

Installation: the DC link carries hazardous DC voltage and stays charged after disconnection. Installation and removal by a qualified electrician only.

Compatibility & applications

Indramat drive and supply cabinets, among others in HOMAG BAZ / BOF. The choke is a purchased standard part from K. A. Gass, not a custom build – BV no. 29264 and TN no. 242124 are decisive for the match.
