Unterlagen und Einbauhinweise

Die Matte nie stark durchbiegen. Dabei werden die Kontakte dauerhaft beschädigt, und die Matte meldet anschließend ständig „belegt“ – die Maschine läuft nicht mehr an, obwohl die Matte unbeschädigt aussieht. Flach lagern, nicht am Kabel ziehen.

Der Druckausgleich läuft über das Anschlusskabel. Kabel nicht knicken oder klemmen, Kabelverschraubungen nur handfest anziehen, luftdurchlässige Anschlussgehäuse verwenden.

Bircher ESM-52D Safety Mat 1200 × 500 mm

Industrial safety mat (contact mat, pressure sensitive mat) from Bircher Reglomat for safeguarding hazardous areas on machines and automated systems. Stepping on the mat triggers a switching signal which, via a suitable safety relay, stops the machine or activates a safety function.

This version was used on CNC machining centres such as the WEEKE BP 155, typically installed in front of access points or maintenance areas.

Please note that this size is generally suitable only as a replacement for an existing mat of the same dimensions, as modern machines often use larger safety mats.

A safety system always consists of three parts: mat, safety relay and terminating resistor. A Bircher mat requires a Bircher safety relay. Commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel only, in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
