Product description

The Siemens SIRIUS 3TK2830-2CB30 is a slim expansion unit for safety-related enabling circuits. It is used together with a suitable 3TK28 basic unit whenever additional safe relay outputs are needed – for example to switch off several contactors or separate machine sections.

The module provides four instantaneous, safety-related NO contacts. The positively driven NC contact 51–52 is wired into the feedback circuit of the basic unit as specified by Siemens, so the basic unit can monitor the correct function of the expansion. The achievable safety level matches that of the basic unit when the external connection is also fail-safe. Two LEDs show the status of channel 1 and channel 2.

The 3TK2830 is a contact expansion, not a standalone evaluation unit for E-stop, safety gates or sensors. Selection, wiring, testing and commissioning by a qualified electrician according to the original Siemens documentation and the machine risk assessment.
