Bircher ESM-52D Safety Mat 1200 × 1000 mm

Industrial safety mat (contact mat, pressure sensitive mat) from Bircher Reglomat for safeguarding hazardous areas on machines and automated production systems. Stepping on the mat triggers a switching signal which, via a suitable safety relay, stops the machine or activates a safety function.

This mat came from an industrial application and was typically used around CNC machining centres such as the WEEKE BP 155 or comparable HOMAG equipment. The rubber surface has an anti-slip studded structure that improves footing and protects the integrated sensor technology.

Used, tested and functional. As visible in the photos, the upper tread rubber is partly detached. This does not normally affect the basic function of the sensor mat, but it should be taken into account during installation. Normal industrial condition; the price reflects this.

A safety system always consists of three parts: mat, safety relay and terminating resistor. A Bircher mat requires a Bircher safety relay. Commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel only, in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
